Add your podcast feed to your publisher profile

2 min read

Table of Contents

If you have a podcast, you can make it available on your VoiceMap publisher profile. When you add your podcast, all existing episodes will be accessible through the VoiceMap app and your followers will receive notifications for new episodes.

Your episodes will appear on a dedicated podcast tab on your profile. Listeners can browse through your content, download individual episodes to their library for later listening, or play episodes while browsing the app for their next tour.

An example of the podcast tab in a publisher’s profile, an episode in the app, and how it appears when users continue browsing while listening to an episode.

Submission Process #

Follow these steps to submit your podcast:

  1. Find your RSS feed URL: This is a web address that contains your podcast’s episode information. You can typically find this in your podcast hosting platform’s settings or dashboard, often labeled as “RSS feed,” “Podcast feed,” or “Distribution URL.”
  2. Navigate to the podcast section on VoiceMap https://voicemap.me/podcast
  3. Enter your RSS feed URL: Paste the RSS feed URL of your podcast in the designated field
  4. Click the “Submit” button
  5. Prepare for email verification: You may need to temporarily make your email address visible in your RSS feed (see platform-specific instructions below)
  6. Check your email: Look for a confirmation email at the address associated with your RSS feed
  7. Click the verification link to confirm your ownership of the podcast

Important: The email verification is a security measure to ensure you are the legitimate owner of the podcast. You may need to temporarily unhide your email address in your RSS feed to receive the confirmation email.

Here are the instructions for email verifications on the top podcasting platforms:

  • Buzzsprout
  • Spotify/Anchor
  • Captivate
  • PodBean
  • Libsyn, Podigee: Emails are not hidden, no need to unhide
  • Other hosts: please contact your podcast host for instructions on how to unhide your email address within the RSS feed (if required)
