Your tour price

2 min read

Your VoiceMap tour is sold at voicemap.me, and within our mobile apps. We use the iTunes App Store's pricing tiers, denominated in US dollars. You can select any price between $5.99 and $29.99. To understand how we calculate royalties, take a look at a sample report.

You can add a price through the tour's distribution tab, which you'll find on your publisher dashboard.

  1. Open your publisher dashboard and scroll down to the bottom of the page
  2. Find the relevant tour in the Your Tours section (here you'll see all the tours you've created)
  3. Under Manage Tour on the right, click the "Edit tour" button (this will take you to your tour in Mapmaker)
  4. Click on "Distribution" on the right of your screen
  5. The price tab will open automatically, but you can also access other distribution tools here (like your QR codes and featured location)
  6. Choose the relevant price from the dropdown menu
  7. Click save

Choosing the right price

When you choose a price, think about your target audience. Where is your route going to be used? What kind of experience does it offer?

  • Budget-friendly destinations — If your tour is in a destination where travellers are typically budget-conscious, a lower price point (e.g. $5.99–$7.99) may attract more sales.
  • Premium experiences — If your tour covers a popular tourist destination with high demand, or offers a particularly unique experience, you can justify a higher price (e.g. $9.99–$14.99).
  • Longer tours — Tours with more content, more locations, and longer audio generally warrant higher prices.
  • Specialist content — Niche tours (e.g. architecture, food, history deep-dives) can command premium pricing if the content is genuinely expert-level.

Changing your price

You can change your tour's price at any time through the distribution tab. Price changes take effect immediately on the web, and within a few hours in the mobile apps.
